Resignation

How sorry I am that for some reason I just can't remind myself to update the blog. I don't know if it is that I am too busy, it has lost it's new sheen or most likely, I am addicted to facebook. To those few out there that actually check the blog now and then, I am sorry. I think that this is it for a while, or at least untill they shut down facebook.

Madman on the loose

This week has been a bad week in Huron county. On Sunday we heard that there was a killer from Windsor on the loose and they are looking for him in the bush out by Grandbend. Next thing you hear is that he has killed an elderly couple outside of Dashwood for thier truck. The country side is in that "how can it happen here?" mentality. Even though he is probably gone from here, the police are searching, following up on any lead that they have. There were two cops here on Wed cause some of the guys in the back were in the same bar as the killer last week. I don't think that the police have anything. I don't understand why they can not find the truck. The murders of the Regiers have had an effect on everyone here at work, we are constantly listening for more news. Every farm in the area has a gun, and most have it beside the bed now. If the killer is still here and tries to break in to another house, he'll meet a 22 in the face that's for sure. If they don't catch this guy, I don't know when people will calm down. Every daycare (including the boys) is under lockdown in Huron county. The boys are climbing the walls when we get home cause they can't go outside during the day. Last night when I put them to bed, Liam was afraid of the dark and said "don't let that guy get me". I think that he had heard the bigger kids at daycare talking about it.

Anyways, sorry to rant, I just needed an outlet.

Sold! I hope

Our little abode is sold. There is a conditional offer on our house for Sept 14th close. It all depends on the home inspection, should be ok.

I am sooo thankful that this offer came through. We had another one for the same money but a July 27th close. I just could not fathom moving out of my house in a month. I am not emotionally prepared for that. I had a little cry about it but I think that I can prepare myself for September.

Ethan's Mom and Dad are being quite helpfull too with getting us prepared to leave our house. They are cleaning out the bedroom that will be the boys room so that we can get it cleaned and painted in the next month or so. Also, they are working on cleaning out 30 years of stuff they have accumulated. I can't imagine what that must be like, I have lived in this house for 4 years and have filled it to the brim, what would it be like after I was in it for 30 years?

It should be an interesting and busy autumn for us, but I am looking forward to it.

6 Years

Tomorrow is Ethan and I's 6 year aniversary. I am not overly centimental but it has caused me to think back to what changes have occured in 6 years.
-we have moved twice (Bolton and Seaforth), 4 times if you count living with parents in between.
-we have taken in 2 new pets and lost one great pet friend
-biggest change is that we have had the boys
-Don't ask me about how much weight I have gained, I don't fit in my wedding dress anymore - thanks to the boys.
-Ethan and I have both had 3 different jobs.
-I finished University
-we have successfully (I think) lived thru a major reno on a house
-we went thru 10 vehicals (5 our own, 5 work)
-I think I have used all my wedding presents at least once
-I am still using tissue wrap and gift bags from the wedding for weddings I now go to.
Lots more, none that I can think of right now.

Frustrated

Blogger lost my post and I am to creativitally drained to write it all again. Here is the short version.

Liam is ok after getting his tubes in... he did puke on me after the surgery.

The house is not sold yet, summer is here and I am a little worried.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow Liam goes in for tubes. We have to be at the hospital at 8, the surgery is not until 10. Should be an interesting day. He can not have anything to eat from midnight on, Cole will have to go to daycare and have breakfast while Liam does not see... Oh joy! Hopefully all goes well.

For Sale

This has been a record week, month, year of cleaning for me. We have a 10x10 storage unit rented and it is jam packed. Ethan has driven to the dump with a truckload about 5 times. My closets are neat and organized, my kitchen degreased. The boys are trained to take out one toy at a time. The lawn is trimmed and the pool is crystal clear.

The house is now for sale.

The realitor came over the other night to do the paper work and take pictures. As soon as she walked into the door, she commented "You're house is spotless! How do you keep it so clean with your boys here." and just as she finished saying that, Cole goes to the fridge, pulls out a FULL jug of pink lemonaid and spills it over the kitchen floor, under the stove and in the fridge. House not so clean any more.

If I have to keep it this clean for more than two weeks max, I am going to have a breakdown!
