Looking to the New Year

We survived part of Christmas, still one event to go tonight and one tomorrow. Then it is time to sort through the presents and pack up the old toys that the twindom does not play with. Thankfully I have New Year's day to do that!

In celebration of the new year, here is another Calvin and Hobbes for your enjoyment.

Is Santa Real?

Recently, the twindom has been quite a handfull. They used to go to bed quietly, no screaming or kicking. Now, it takes a 1/2 to 1 hour for them to fall asleep. One night a few days ago, Ethan decided to try something. "Santa won't bring presents to bad boys". IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM. Now I am not sure if we should continue this. After Christmas, will we threaten to take the toys from Santa away? Will this have a lasting impact on their minds? Will they fear Santa? I just want them to sleep when they go to bed!

Was That a Weekend?

Wow, that was a busy one! Christmas party on Friday night, clean-wrap-bake on Saturday, church-birthday party-dinner with friends Sunday. Whew. The twindom held up pretty good through it all.

I did not venture out to the sale on Saturady, thought it was best to stay away. Better for the bottom line!

Christmas is comming to soon. I think that this week will drag out until Friday and then all hell is going to break loose.

To Go or Not to Go

So tomorrow, there is a horse auction out by Listowel that will have over 200 horses up for auction. My question, do I go or not? If I go, I think that there is a good possibility of me comming home with something, but I still don't know if I am ready. One plus is that horses are really cheap right now and since I have an open stall, I feel the need to fill it. I hate making a decision.

Anyways, last night was the boys little Christmas concert. They sang two song, and jingled their little jingle bells. In addition to jingeling the bells they BOTH picked their noses in front of everybody. I don't think that they have a future in show business.

I also put in my favorite C&H today. Enjoy!

What I learned yesterday

Sorry that there was no C&H installment yesterday, I will post two today. Anyways, I was in London all day yesterday at a meeting. I learned there that a corn seedling can "see" weeds as competitors through FarRed light reflection and change it's growing pattern accourdingly....COOL! I also learned about corn breeding that is increasing the carotinoid content in the grain for human health, composite lumber like products made from wheat straw and a whole bunch of other stuff. Very interesting!

The twindow however is going through a little tempertandrum stage, they are so much like their father! Tonight is their Christmas concert, we will see how that goes.

Success

For most of you this is going to sound crazy. Anyways, yesterday, I had a sales breakthrough! I had a brand new customer that I had been chasing for 2 months call and order 60 acres of alfalfa and 40 acres of corn seed. WOW, it's huge! I am finally feeling like I belong in this agricultural sales business!

Yeah!

Anyways, here is todays installment of C&H.

Good Monday Morning

Well, Ethan and I survived another weekend of milking. Even threw a Christmas party into the middle of it. The boys are getting back on track since the flu but are still a little grumpy.

I think that I will try to finish my Christmas shopping this week, we'll see....

Anyways, here is another couple of C&H for your enjoyment. Today is the perfect snowman making weather!

Bonus

I love these!

In celebration of all this white stuff

I thought that I would celebrate that 2 feet of snow fell yesterday. I did make it home! And unfortunantly back to work today. I was like a kid listining to the radio this morning.

Anyways, I love this Calvin and Hobbes series and will try to post one a day (work days only as we don't have internet at home anymore).

Enjoy!

I can not get any pics to take on my blog. Cutting and Pasteing or inserting does not work, any ideas?

Can't have one without the other...

We survived the weekend from hell.

Ethan and I were on our way out the door Saturday night for a B-Day party when Liam decided to start throwing up. We got him washed up and settled in our bed (on lots of towels), and Cole decided to start at around 11:30. After the same routine as Liam, we had a very sleepless night. Sunday, I was not that well, but the boys seemed to be recovering. We put them to bed that night and sighed, "we survived". Well, it was not all over yet. Both boys woke up around 11 Sunday night and it all started again. After cleaning their beds for the second time and laundering every towel in the house, we had another sleepless night. Then, at 5am on Monday morning, Ethan started. He was on the couch all day yesterday. Me, being the Mom, was not allowed to be sick. I think I lived on Gravol all weekend. Anyways, the boys woke up this morning back to normal and Ethan went to the farm as well. I am not quit 100% but I will carry on.

It is amazing that the twindom has to do everything together.
